Awesome Sauce

This will make about 16 ounces of Awesome Sauce.  Be sure to wear gloves when cutting the peppers!


  • 5 Habanero peppers, rough chopped. (6 if you like a little more heat)
  • 6 Cloves Garlic
  • 14 ounces can Pickled Carrots w/ Jalapeno (drain, reserve 2 TBLS liquid)
  • 2 TBLS liquid from Pickled Carrots w Jalapeno
  • 2/3 cup Vinegar (white or cider)
  • 1 TBL Honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cumin
  • 6 ounces Pineapple Juice
  • 1 TBLS oil (ex: Avocado, Safflower, Canola)
  • 1 TBLS Cider Vinegar
  • 2 TBLS Pineapple Juice


  1. Rough chop habaneros and garlic (wear gloves!) Add first 11 ingredients into a saucepan, and simmer for 45 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. Pour ingredients into blender, and add the oil, and additional vinegar and pineapple juice. Blend until smooth, and transfer to a container. Will keep in refrigerator for several weeks.
